BPG “Bomb Proof” Sleeving

  • Materials: Made from continuous filament basalt fiber and withstands continuous temperatures of 1200°F (estimated).
  • Extreme Temp Rating (Range): 700°C ~ 1292°F (typical operating) up to  1000°C ~ 1832°F (peak/intermittent temperatures).
  • Melting Point: 1450°C ~ 2642°F.
  • Sold by: standard in 1″ diameter and stretches to over 2″. Sold in 1 FT increments.
  • Superior to Glass Fiber: Operates at higher temperatures and maintains strength better than fiberglass.
  • Non-Toxic: It’s a natural mineral, so it doesn’t produce smoke or toxic gases when exposed to fire, unlike some man-made fibers.
  • Versatile Applications: Used for exhaust wraps, cable protection, gaskets, furnace curtains, and general thermal insulation.

BPG “Bomb Proof” Sleeving

Burn Proof Gear “Bomb Proof” Sleeving is an excellent upgrade for your suppressor cover made from continuous basalt fiber and engineered for extreme temperatures.

The basalt material has a superior heat rating to fiberglass but is also substantially more expensive. In comparison to the FR Sleeving (fiberglass), it can unravel more easily and is not as tightly woven.
